Hotels, Resorts & Inns
Golf Cart Delivery to Amelia Island Hotels & Resorts
Staying at a hotel or resort on the island? We deliver a street-legal gas cart to you — no rental counter, no charging, no car keys needed all week.
Delivery & Pickup
Your cart is there when you check in
Tidal Wave delivers to guests staying at hotels, resorts, inns and bed & breakfasts across Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach. You tell us where you are staying when you book, we confirm the delivery spot with you beforehand, and the cart is waiting on or before 4:00 PM on your arrival day. You do not need to be present — for delivery or for pickup by 11:00 AM on the day you leave.
There is no rental counter to find and no shuttle to catch. Every rental is delivered, which means the first afternoon of your trip goes to the beach instead of to an errand.
Tidal Wave is an independent, locally owned rental company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any of the properties named on this page.

Why Gas?
Gas carts, and why that matters on vacation
Hotel parking areas are the last place you want to go hunting for a power outlet, and most of them do not have one a guest can use. Our carts run on gas, so charging never enters the conversation with the front desk.
No Charging Required
You don’t need to find an exterior outlet at your hotel or vacation rental. Our carts run on gas, so there is simply nothing to plug in.
More Time Exploring
Enjoy your stay without planning around plugging the cart in. Park it when you’re finished and use it again whenever you’re ready to go.
Easy For Vacation Stays
A simple option whether you’re staying in a hotel, resort, condo or vacation home — with no charging access to arrange with anyone.

Around The Island
Amelia Island landmarks worth the trip
Thirteen miles of barrier island between the Atlantic and the Amelia River, with a Victorian seaport at one end and undeveloped shoreline at the other.
Fort Clinch State Park
A 19th-century masonry fort at the northern tip of the island, surrounded by dunes and maritime forest.
Amelia Island Lighthouse
Florida’s oldest surviving lighthouse, standing over the marsh on the island’s north end.
Burney Park, American Beach
Dunes, sea oats and the historic American Beach community founded in 1935.
Amelia Island State Park
Undeveloped shoreline at the southern end of the island where the beach meets Nassau Sound.
Our carts are street-legal low-speed vehicles with a top speed of 25 mph and may be driven on paved public roads posted 35 mph or less. Beaches, trails and unpaved areas are off limits. Read the Rules of the Road before you book.
Staying At The Omni?
Amelia Island Plantation has its own page
We deliver to guests staying inside Omni Amelia Island Resort / Amelia Island Plantation, and those carts stay on Plantation grounds for the length of the rental. The details, and what a cart is actually like to have on a resort that size, are on the Omni page.
FAQs
Hotel and resort delivery questions
Yes. We deliver to guests staying at hotels, resorts, inns and bed & breakfasts across Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach. You tell us where you’re staying when you book, and we confirm the delivery spot with you before you arrive. Tidal Wave is an independent local rental company — we are not operated by or affiliated with any hotel.
Policies vary by property, so it’s worth a quick check with your hotel about where a rental cart may be parked. Most properties on the island are used to guests renting carts. Tell us about anything specific — an assigned space, a valet-only entrance, a gate — during booking and we’ll work with it. If you’d rather sort it out first, call us at (904) 298-7236 before you reserve.
Carts are delivered on or before 4:00 PM on your delivery day and should be ready for pickup by 11:00 AM on your departure day. You don’t need to be present for either one, which means the cart can be waiting when you check in rather than eating into your first afternoon. Delivery is included — there is no rental counter to visit.
No. Every cart we rent is gas-powered, so nothing needs to be plugged in and you never have to ask a hotel where you can charge. Hotel parking areas rarely have an outlet a guest can use, which is exactly the problem this avoids. Park the cart when you’re done for the day and use it again when you head back out.
Guests staying at hotels and resorts around the island generally have broad access to the roads where carts are permitted. Our carts are street-legal low-speed vehicles with a 25 mph top speed and may be driven on paved public roads posted 35 mph or less — beaches, trails and unpaved areas are not permitted. See Rules of the Road for the full picture. One exception: carts delivered inside Amelia Island Plantation stay on Plantation grounds — see our Omni Amelia Island page.
We rent 4-passenger and 6-passenger E-Z-GO gas carts, and you choose the size when you book. Everyone must be seated with a seatbelt while the cart is in motion, and a cart may never carry more than its stated capacity — so book by headcount, not by hope. Larger groups often take two carts. You can see both on our Book Online page.
Drivers must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance, and must sign the rental waiver. Everything is submitted through our online portal before your trip — the driver waiver for anyone driving and the rider waiver for everyone else. A parent or legal guardian completes the minor section for any children riding.
